Board Seat Vacancy Announcement

Vacancy to be filled at the next Hermon Neighborhood Council General Board Meeting on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 7 p.m.


The Hermon Neighborhood Council currently has vacancy on its Board. The vacant position is for the Community Interest representative, which is suggested for anyone who has a vested interest in the betterment of Hermon.  In order to be considered an Eligible Candidate for this vacancy, please submit the following to no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, January 4th, 2019:

  1. Your Name
  2. Proof of Stakeholder Status. Stakeholders are individuals who: live, work, or own real property within the HNC boundaries, or those who declare a stake in the Hermon neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder – defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the HNC’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as — but not limited to — educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations. Proof of Stakeholder Status would consist of residence address, work address, or evidence being a community interest stakeholder.
  3. Candidacy Statement of seventy-five (75) words or less.

In addition to the above, Eligible Candidates must be present at the Hermon Neighborhood Council  Special Board Meeting on January 10, 2019 at 7 p.m. to provide their Candidacy Statement to the HNC Board. The HNC Board will select an Eligible Candidate to fill the board vacancy by majority vote at this meeting.
